Aledang – Jongno district

Located in the middle of the village area thingy right outside our hotel. Small narrow streets with small shops and lots of restaurants, is Aledang, with tons of craft beer on tap.

We decided to do a beer stop here, the clock is -after all- way! past 12 oclock.

the sampler, of course.. the guy all the way to the left.. a LIME pilsner, pretty nice!

The bare is the same as with lots of the shops and restaurants in this area, with a large outside area when you get into the bar itself – feels secluded and quiet. Supernice with glass roof and the sun shining.

Beside the tasters, flight, we had to try the cherry goese.. suppa nice!.. We didnt order food – but it looked like the pasta was pretty good.

They had some 50-60s music playing jazzy stuff.. They could have turned it down a notch.. or Im just getting old 😀

the prices aint to bad either, we thought it was going to be a bit more pricey. Also the weather – its starting to feel like a Norwegian summer.. without the rain 🙂

At the medina

Medina, as far as I understand it, is the old town within the old city walls..usually.

The medina is pretty close to our hotell, 2-3km or so, a nice walk in great weather. I think it was 30-33 degrees here today, not a cloud to be seen. So i usually keep close to the side of the street and shadow, while Maren seeks out as much sun as is possible.

Morocco

True to traditions we have our yearly celebration of our wedding anniversary (the 8th.). This year it was Maren that did the planning and we ended up outside of Europe for once, Morocco.

The Banana Strawberry Mojito

Leaving Oslo at 7 in the morning, we decided to book a night at the airport hotell – the generic airport hotell, but! They had a extraordinary nice banana mojito.

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise

A graveyard from 1804, implemented by Napoleon. Known for lots of its inhabitants, but probably most of all Jim Morrison.

Here lies Jim

A weird thing to visit maybe, but it is a ‘thing’ for sure.. we got here fairly early in the morning, a -of all things- sunny morning! (Finally!). And walking up to the grave of Jim Morrison probably felt different without the hordes of tourists coming here during peak season.

Eiffel tower

We took the subway down to La Motte for a quick breakfast at Poupart Piquot, thats one of those Bakeries they call boulangeries…or something like that. We got it of someone on YouTube – it was a good recommendation 👍👍 Really great little spot for some French breakfast options..

And the headed overr to the park, Champ de Mars, where the Eiffel tower stands… Raining, again… Not to bad – but still..

330 meter high… You get a more feel of the size of it when you get close, and se people walking up n down.
